Professor Paul Seymour received the honorary doctorate for his contribution to mathematics at the highest level.
Cooperation with Professor Carsten Thomassen
Paul Seymour has cooperated with DTU for many years.
Already in the beginning of the 1980s Paul Seymour was a visiting professor at DTU where he cooperated with Carsten Thomassen on a problem of Polya from approximately 1920.
Highest academic distinction
The honorary doctorate (doctor technices, honoris causa) is DTU’s highest academic distinction.
